Natasha Sikka poses nude for designer label Randell Gomes

Posted by Editor - IndiYaah !!! on March 27, 2014

Well-known ramp model Natasha Sikka shot with designer label brand Randell Gomes for an Indian wear collection. Randell Gomes has launched three different ranges – the first is a high-end couture bridal collection, the second is a pret line and the third is a casual wear party line. Speaking to content agency Newz66.com, Randell Gomes said, “The couture bridal line is very exclusive and only a few pieces are hand made and hand embroidered and available in a very limited edition. They are priced between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and they are personally signed by Randell Gomes. The pret line and the casual wear party line are for the masses and are available all over India. The collection includes various fabrics like Cottons, Silks, Chiffon, Georgette, etc. There is also a signature line within the pret collection that is fabricated with hand loom hand-made Khadi and is a priced accordingly.”

The theme and concept of designer Randell Gomes Indo-Western Summer Collection 2014 is “Affordable, Wearable & Comfortable Fashion for Women of all Sizes and Shapes”. Says Randell Gomes, “For most people fashion is either very expensive or inconvenient or uncomfortable. And that is what is unfortunately portrayed at the fashion weeks and at fashion shows. For me, fashion is affordable, wearable and comfortable and yet fashionable,”  Gomes told Newz66.com. Designer Randell Gomes in association with an event company has announced a beauty pageant Mr & Miss Fashionable India to promote the concept of comfortable, affordable and wearable fashion, which will be announced at a later date. Last year Randell Gomes had launched a pret collection called Mumbai Fashion Street Collection which is inspired by Mumbai’s fashion street at Dhobitalao in South Mumbai. This year too he has introduced a new line of wearable and affordable clothes for women of all shapes and sizes under the same name.

Randell Gomes who was born in Goa but grew up at Dhobi Talao near the CST Railway Station and was fascinated by the variety and color of clothes available very cheaply on Fashion Street. Says Randell Gomes, “My sisters would go to Fashion Street every weekend. When I was a student at St Xaviers college, we would visit Fashion Street to buy bermudas, shorts and T -shirts which were available for as little as Rs 30 per piece. It was simply fabulous. Most of the stuff available at Fashion Street were export rejects and some of them were re-cycled clothes. But the joy we experienced getting an outfit within our limited budget was tremendous. At that time, shopping was fun and a great pleasure. With my new range of pret outfits for men and women, I want to make cheap fashionable clothes available for everyone.

Mumbai-based model and actress Natasha Sikka needs no introduction. A veteran ramp model who has been modeling for the last ten years and has acted in several lesser-known films and done hundreds of catalog shoots. She was in the news recently for a hot lesbian photo shoot with model and actress Yasmin Khan supporting gay rights.

Natasha Sikka was also in the news a year earlier for filing a complaint with the cyber crime cell of the Mumbai police against a former friend who had hacked her email account and sent vulgar messages to her friends and contacts.

Veena Malik’s publicity stunt secret revealed by fashion designer Umair Zafar

Posted by IndiaNewsInfo.com on December 10, 2011

By Flynn Remedios – MumbaiWire.in

Finally the cat is out of the bag on the Veena Malik nude photo controversy. Mumbai-based fashion designer and stylist Umair Zafar who has done several shoots with controversial photographer Vishal Saxena spilled the beans on the Veena Malik-FHM cover shoot controversy to journalist Flynn Remedios of MumbaiWire.in today.

Says Umair Zafar, “A few days before the FHM cover was out, photographer Vishal Saxena told me to be prepared for a big ‘dhamaka”. According to Umair Zafar, Saxena told him that the entire thing between Veena Malik and FHM magazine was pre-planned. “Veena Malik did the shoot topless with her hands covering the upper part of her body. She was wearing a bikini panty below, which was later on morphed and removed by photographer Vishal Saxena. All this was pre-decided and agreed upon by all concerned. In order to save face and the repurcussions that it could have both in Pakistan and in India – and yet avail of all the publicity – Veena Malik and FHM magazine had pre-decided that Veena Malik would send a defamation notice to the magazine and the magazine in turn would then send her a counter-notice. Yeah sab mili bhagat hein,” said Umair Zafar, adding that the entire episode had been meticulously planned by Veena Malik, her manager, photographer Vishal Saxena and FHM magazine representatives. “Even the defamation notice was prepared in advance, he said.

“I have done many shoots with Vishal Saxena and have styled clothes for Sayali Bhagat, Nisha Kothari, etc. Vishal specialises in nude shoots and has done several such shoots with Sherlyn Chopra, Priya Soni, etc., the photos of which are freely available on the internet. Vishal, Veena and FHM magazine have planned this entire publicity stunt to further Veena Malik’s prospects on the Reality Show on Imagine channel, Veena Malik ka Swayamvar,” said Umair, explaining that even top bosses at Imagine channel were aware of this entire publicity stunt.

Speaking to Flynn Remedios, Umair Zafar said that photographer Vishal Saxena had told him on Facebook chat that Veena Malik was even ready to shoot completely in the buff if it got her the required publicity. “Vishal told me, she wanted a big blast. A huge dhamaka that would catapult her to the top of the charts and make her a household name in India. She wants to be more popular than Kareena Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan put together. Bigg Boss last year gave her some mileage but she was not able to get much out of that show. She wanted the big bucks and was ever ready to do anything for it,” Umair said.

Photographer Vishal Saxena when contacted said that he only did as he was told by the editor of the magazine FHM. ‘I do not know anything about this matter or publicity stunt. I was told to do a shoot and was given reference photos for the same. All that I can say is that Veena Malik was very happy with the photos. I handed over the raw images (unedited images) to them immediately after the shoot was over. I can’t speak for the magazine. Please talk to Kabeer Sharma about all this. I cannot comment on anything,” was Vishal Saxena’s response. Editor of FHM, Kabeer Sharma was not reachable, inspite several attempts to contact him.

Umair Zafar prepares for mega glamour event in Mumbai

Posted by IndiaNewsInfo.com on December 3, 2011

Mumbai-based fashion designer Umair Zafar is gearing up for another Mega event in Mumbai to be held in a suburban five star hotel on 14th of December. Umair has been given the responsibility to design the looks and costumes for models by Glamour International – the organisers of the event. Umair will work with established models who have a reputation in the fraternity and his brief is to enhance the look for Bollywood and the entire fashion sector.

Sources said that the who’s who of the fashion, lifestyle and film industry will be invited for this event where both freshers and established professionals will be show-cased. The final auditions for this mega fashion event are being held on 3rd December at Umair Zafar’s studio-cum-boutique. Given film director and producer Mahesh Bhatt’s penchant for porn star Sunny Leone, Umair Zafar is seriously contemplating if some models should be given a vampish or a ‘porn look’ as these days actors and models have to compete with porn stars to get work in Bollywood. It is learnt that Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhary and many other celebrities are on the panel for the mega event which will be officially announced soon.

Ban Veena Malik, IAAF writes to Home Minister, Mumbai Police Commissioner

Posted by IndiaNewsInfo.com on December 3, 2011

PRESS RELEASE

IAAF, Poonam Dasgupta file police complaint against ‘nude Veena Malik’

Mumbai: Saturday 3rd December 2011: The Indian Artistes and Actors Forum (IAAF) and veteran actress Poonam Dasgupta have filed a police complaint with the Commissioner of Police, DCP Enforcement and Social Service Branch of the Crime Branch of the Mumbai police today (Saturday) against Veena Malik for her nude photo shoot on the cover of FHM magazine. Spokesperson for the IAAF, Flynn Remedios, said that a written complaint was submitted to the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, the Social Service Branch and the Home Ministry on Saturday. The police have been requested to register an FIR under the relevant sections of the law against Veena Malik and others. The IAAF has asked the Foreigners Registration Office of the Mumbai police to verify the nature of visa granted to Veena Malik and as to who are the sponsors of the Visa. According to the IAAF, Veena Malik has only a Business Visa which permits her to attend meetings, conferences, seminars and auditions but not to work and earn an income in India.

A foreigner has to have a Indian sponsor who has to guarantee and take responsibility of the foreigner to ensure that s/he does not violate any Indian laws. “Does Veena Malik have a Visa that allows her to work with every single Indian enterprise?” Normally work visas restrict the right of the individual who can only work for and through his or her sponsor who has taken the onus of ensuring compliance of Indian laws. The IAAF have requested the Mumbai Police and the Home Ministry to rescind the police permission or approval given to Veena Malik and cancel her visa.

The Indian Actors and Artistes Forum (IAAF) has called for a ban on Veena Malik for her cheap antics at getting free publicity. The IAAF has launched a protest on their Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Ban.Veena.Malik and is in the process of enlisting support online.

Veteran actress Poonam Dasgupta Luthra speaking about Veena Malik said, “I was aghast to read about the killing of Hindus in Pakistan and Veena Malik’s swayamvar drama on the same page of the newspaper. The first thing I can’t tolerate is why we should encourage people from an unfriendly country that export terrorism to India to work here? Also we have the best of beauty and talent in India which is recognized around the world and there is no reason to entertain a Veena Malik who has nothing special to offer. Veena comes from a country where such swayamvar-type drams are taboo. Is India a dust bin where shallow people without character come to dump their stunts? Veena Malik is nothing but trash. She is a cheap, shallow woman who will pose nude at the drop of a hat or even sleep around for work and we are welcoming such trash from abroad with open arms. It is a crying shame and a slap on the face of Indian talent.””

Spokesperson for the IAAF, Flynn Remedios says, “About 350 members of the IAAF have signed a petition addressed to the I&B Minstry, Home Minister and the Home Ministry, Government of India pleading that Veena Malik’s visa be revoked.  Why do we have to import such trash in India from outside when we have so much talent in our own country,” he asked?

IAAF, Poonam Dasgupta file police complaint against ‘nude Veena Malik’

Posted by IndiaNewsInfo.com on December 3, 2011

Ban Veena Malik, IAAF writes to Home Minister

The Indian Artistes and Actors Forum (IAAF) and veteran actress Poonam Dasgupta have filed a police complaint with the Social Service Branch of the Crime Branch of the Mumbai police today (Saturday). Spokesperson for the IAAF, Flynn Remedios, said that a written complaint was submitted to the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, the Social Service Branch and the Home Ministry Friday night. The police have been requested to register an FIR under the relevant sections of the law against Veena Malik and the others. Similarly the IAAF has asked the Foreigners Registration Office of the Mumbai police to verify the nature of work visa granted to Veena Malik and as to who are the sponsors of the Visa. A foreigner has to have a Indian sponsor who has to guarantee and take responsibility of the foreigner to ensure that s/he does not violate any of the laws. “Does Veena Malik have a Visa that allows her to work with every single Indian enterprise?” Normally work visas restrict the right of the individual who can only work for and through his or her sponsor who has taken the onus of ensuring compliance of Indian laws.

The Indian Actors and Artistes Forum (IAAF) has also called for a ban on Veena Malik for her cheap antics at getting free publicity. The latest publicity stunt is her denial of a nude cover shoot for the Indian edition of international men’s magazine FHM. However, editor of FHM Kabeer Sharma insists that they have a video of the photo shoot and Veena Malik’s claims are false. Even a Times of India report claims that Veena Malik indeed did pose nude. As reported in the Pakistani media, Veena Malik has posed nude for other Pakistani publications as well in the past and the FHM India cover is obviously not her first time. The website of FHM meanwhile seems to have been suspended or shut down.

The IAAF has launched a protest on their Facebook page facebook.com/Indian.Artistes.Forum and is in the process of enlisting support online.

She is a cheap, shallow woman who will pose nude at the drop of a hat or even sleep around for work and we are welcoming such trash from abroad with open arms. It is a crying shame and a slap on the face of Indian talent.””

Several members and supporters of the IAAF including veteran actress Poonam Dasgupta, fashion designer Umair Zafar, BJP spokesperson Shaina NC, TV actress Smriti Irani, Congress MP Nilesh Rane, and MLA Krishna Hegde to name a few have criticized the level to which TV channels have stooped to gain TRPs – referring to porn star Sunny Leone in Bigg Boss on Colors and the reported news that Veena Malik has been signed on by Imagine for Veena Malik ka Swayamvar. Says spokesperson for the IAAF, Flynn Remedios, “About 350 members of the IAAF have signed a petition addressed to the Home Minister and the Home Ministry, Government of India pleading that Veena Malik’s work permit be revoked.  Why do we have to import such trash in India from outside when we have so much talent in our own country.”

Mahesh Bhatt should start a porn production house: Ameesha Yadav

Posted by IndiaNewsInfo.com on November 29, 2011

Mahesh Bhatt has come under heavy criticism for his overtures towards Sunny Leone from members of his own fraternity. Fashion designer Umair Zafar, veteran actress of more than 150-plus films Poonam Dasgupta and now starlet Ameesha Yadav of the Indian Artistes and Actors Forum (IAAF) has severely criticized Mahesh Bhatt. Says Ameesha Yadav, “Bhatt saab has gone mad. He should start a porn production house if he wants to cast a porn star like Sunny Leone. Isn’t there enough talent in India? Or does Bhatt saab want to become a Reality TV star, “she asked?

Speaking to Flynn Remedios Editor of Mumbaiwire.in, Poonam Dasgupta said, “As a reputed film maker, Bhatt has made a big fool of himself. His publicity-seeking antics have angered a lot of senior actors and film industry professionals who may not come forward and speak out because they do not want to get involved. Why should we give so much importance to a porn star? She has chosen the career of a porn star of her own free will. She is making a lot of money selling and peddling porn in the West. It’s not that Sunny Leone was born in utmost poverty or was forced into the porn industry. She chose it on her own free will for the quick and enormous returns that it provides. Why should film-makers like Mahesh Bhatt shed tears for her now? Either he is really stupid or has completely gone mad.”

Who are Veena Malik and Sunny Leone? Indian women are sexier! Poonam Dasgupta

Posted by IndiaNewsInfo.com on November 28, 2011

By Jenifer R – MumbaiWire.in

Yesteryear actress Poonam Dasgupta has hit out at Bigg Boss Season 5 participant Sunny Leone saying, “Who is Sunny Leone. We had never heard of her in India. What is her claim to fame? She is just another porn star, part of the trash churned out by capitalist societies of the west. She was never interested in India or Indians before except when it comes to minting money by using her adult, porn star status in a show like Bigg Boss. What is her claim to fame? Indian women are hotter, sexier than a hundred Sunny Leones’ put together. We have some of the most beautiful women in India. It is a sad state of affairs where talented Indian actors and artistes are not given an opportunity to prove themselves and we import “trash” from unfriendly countries like Pakistan.”

Poonam Dasgupta who produced the play Begum Sahiba with Rahul Roy is now working on some new projects. She has done over 100 films and tele serials including Dil Ka Doctor with Anupam Kher, Mr Bond with Akshay Kumar, Dil Ke Jharoke Mein with Manisha Koirala & Vikas Bhalla, Fauji with Dharmendra, Ganga Kahe Pukaar Ke with Rakesh Pande,  Geeta Ki Saugandh with Dharmendra and TV serials like Betaal Pachishi directed by Sunil Agnihotri, Black Cat produced by Kumar Sanu, Bus Stop Ki Raat, Commander,Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Kismat and Kya Baat Hein directed by Ramesh Sippy, Marshall with Mukesh Khanna, Nagin by Ramsays, Shri Adhikari Brothers Top Ten, Shrimaan Shrimati, Swabhimaan (produced by Shobha De), Tehkikaat with Karan Razdaan, Teri Bhi Chup Meri Bhi Chup with Shafi Inaamdar, The Great Maratha directed by Sanjay Khan and the The Zee Horror Show to name a few, was also very critical about Veena Malik’s Swayamvar.

“India has become a dumping ground for the world. Even when it comes to manufacturing, countries like China and the US are dumping their unsold products in India be it electronics or even automobiles. Now we are offering centre-stage to artistes like Veena Malik who are given pride-of-place in shows like Swayamvar. “I was aghast to read about the killing of Hindus in Pakistan and Veena Malik’s swayamvar drama on the same page of the newspaper. Is India a dust bin where shallow people without character or integrity come to dump their stunts? Are Indian channels so devoid of creative ideas to boost their TRPs. Getting a Sunny Leone or Veena Malik is the least creative thing a channel can do?”
