Pakistani actress and Bigg Boss, Season 4 participant Veena Malik has been approached by a particular television GEC for a show similar to Rakhi Ka Swayamvar, say our sources. We are not telling you the name of the channel, but it’s anybody’s guess. Or is it? Apparently, we were told that Veena Malik was approached by a particular channel for a show similar to Rakhi Ka Swayamvar or Rahul Dulhaniye Le Jayenge which were telecast by Imagine. The show’s format is similar to the Imagine shows, though it has a few twists and turns to ensure that Imagine doesn’t make a fuss about it.
We are not sure what Veena Malik has to say. She did not respond to our attempts to contact her, but a little birdie from the channel told us that Veena Malik may probably be interested in the show. After her popularity in Bigg Boss Season 4, thanks to her stunts with Ashmit Patel and their continuing association or romance together, we also heard that Veena Malik hinted that she would want a huge sum of money, much more than what the channel was willing to pay her.
We have also learnt that several Bollywood, Tamil and even Bhojpuri producers have lined up outside Veena Malik’s door hoping to “cast” her in their projects. The girl is really in demand we must say.

To tell you the fact I luckily did not have to struggle too much. You can say that I did struggle for sometime. Luckily I did not have to slog too much here like others do.
Q. Would you like to mention more of your achievements, if we did forgot any?
(Smiles), sure why not. These awards mean life to me. I have put in a lot of hard work and dedication to achieve and here I am, standing in front of you proud to say that I have achieved all these and eagerly waiting for some more to come. To name a few are Princess of Winter(2006), Best Achievement(2006), Miss Rajasthan(2006), Miss. Voice of Rajasthan(2006), selected for Gladrags mega model(2007), Kohinoor-A-Taj(2005), Taj and banner beauty(2005), selected for Princess of Canada(2009), the show scheduled to be held in Toronto this year, selected for Victoria Secret(U.K) on a one year contract basis.
Q. Seems like your professional life is having a rock-n-roll time. Let us jump to your personal life and see what we can find here?
I am a ‘simple living high thinking girl’. I am very down to earth. I am not fussy about things. I don’t mind traveling in an airplane as well as in an auto rickshaw. I love to eat ghar ka khana and like to work with a tension free mind. I get up at 3 every morning and do yoga and free exercise for 2-3 hours. Even after being a model I do not hit the gym, instead I prefer doing yoga. I think that keeps the mind and soul both happy.
Q. Bollywood has always got to do something with Fashion. What is your take on that?
I truly agree with you. A lot from the Fashion Industry have settled in to Bollywood. Talking about my experience in Bollywood, I performed a character in Golmaal Returns, I did a Punjabi album directed by Daljeet Singh Dilbar called ‘Josh Jawani Da’ in which I was the lead. I did a lead role in Remo D’souza’ hinglish film called ‘The Trip’ and Ken Ghosh’s ‘Happy Life’ with Shahid Kapoor which is yet to be released. In all these I had a specific character but I am looking out for a lead role in a movie.
Q. So who is your favorite actor/actress in that context?
They are Akshay Kumar and Sushmita Sen. I love them a lot and would love to do a film with them. They are certainly one of a kind.
Q. You have off recently been on the cover page of Debonair Magazine too. What is your take on exposing and would you do it if offered in a film?
Debonair was certainly a grand affair. I received a lot of compliments for that. Talking about exposing and stuffs so let me make it very clear that I don’t mind doing it until and unless it is required in the script. Exposing to some extent will be fine but too much of it will be simply no.
Q. You have done a lot of print ads and magazines, hoardings and more. Can you update with that?
I did Fantasy Hoarding which is in the Lokhandwala market, I did print ads for Captan dress, hoardings and catalog shoot for Heena sarees, magazines and print shoot for Enigma brand, print shoot for Lovelady, look good, loop love, print shoot for Dhruv creations, hoarding, catalog and print for Farico sarees for national and international basis,hoarding ,catalog,print shoot for Desire sarees, magazine,print,hoarding shoot for make-up studio, print shoot and magazine for Occasions, magazine for Zoom Delhi, magazine shoot for LNL(national and international), magazine shoot for Debonair(2009).
Q. We heard you have done a mobile video and websites?
(laughs) Yes, I guess you have done a lot of research on me. Well, I did do a telecom media video for Vodafone, airtel, reliance, screen saver, wallpapers and video shoot. It should be on air by first week of March, 2009. Coming to websites I have done for websites for http://www.desimad.com for video jokes and photo shoot, spicystarsmumbai and probollywoodnews.
Q. So many titles and crowns in your kitty. Did you do any modeling course or something?
Yes, I have done my course from Elite College, Delhi. I specialized in fashion, make-up, hair, fashion wardrobe (Indian/western/international), fitness, dance, acting, theatre, social savvy, grooming and personality. On the final day, I got the best actress award and best theatre award and photogenic face(2007).
Q. What are your likes and dislikes?
Talking about food I love gajar ka halwa, gulab jamun, chilly paneer and fried mushroom and I like to eat items like pizza and burgers. But mostly I prefer eating ghar ka khana. I feel one should try these things once in a while. I like wearing Christian Dior, Dior Addict, Essenza Di Wills and Hugo Boss when it comes to perfumes. I hate people who lie and try to flirt around. I love dogs. I have two of them in my hometown. I just cannot live without them. I love to wear only designer clothes and shoes. For my daily wear I usually wear jeans and top. I love to Indian clothes as well, according to the occasion. In parties I like flaunting gowns or something sexy and attractive. I also love wearing diamond jewelry.
Q. What do you aspire to become and describe yourself in 1 word?
I aspire to become a superstar. Describing myself in one word will be – “Cute and Nice”

Marriage will have to wait,” she sheepisly added.

On January 2 at about 5.03 am Lindsay Lohan tweeted, “Today is the first day of the rest of my life. Then quoting Mahatma Gandhi, she added, ‘The future depends on what we do in the present.’.. one step at a time”.

And the latest ‘believer’ is none other than Lindsay Lohan, if her ‘tweets’ are to be believed. Lindsay Lohan who has been in the news for her ‘alcohol-related’ problems recently ‘failed’ a drug test and said that she was prepared to face the consequences. Lohan has been taking active interest in India after her ‘alcohol-related problems’ got the better of her even earning her time in jail. She has been desperately trying to stay on the right side of the law and so far seems to be making a brave effort.
A report in a US tabloid said that Lindsay Lohan has been spending a lot of time reading Mahatma Gandhi’s “An Autobiography of My Experiments with Truth” and has read the book over and over almost 3 times. She was also part of a BBC Three documentary titled Lindsay Lohan’s Indian journey which deals with human (and particularly the girl-child) trafficking in India. Lindsay Lohan and the BBC team filmed the documentary in India which aired in April 2010 and she visited a couple of Women’s and Children’s homes in Calcutta. These visits changed her outlook about India, the people of India and Indian philosophy and culture in general. Like most American self-absorbed celebrities, Lohan probably considered India a distant and remote land. The US tabloid article says that the documentary may not have been a ‘great hit’ but it surely changed Lohan for the better.

Yana Gupta who has now added an extra ‘a’ to her name, making it Yaana Gupta is one hell of a lucky girl. An Indian-born designer originally from Delhi, but now doing business in the UAE and particularly in Dubai has designed a diamond-studded gold panty, especially for the no panty girl Yana Gupta. The designer who was not named has been associated with the Gold Suk Mall in Delhi near Gurgaon and various other well-known jewellery projects. He is a personal designer to the Sheikhs of the UAE, the Shahs of Iran, queens and princesses all over the world not to forget the Sultan of Brunei and his family. We asked the organisers the name of the designer, but they said it would be announced at a Press Conference after the models are confirmed.
A spokesperson for the project called The Helping Hands Project which is supported by some charitable organisations in India, said, “We have commissioned a diamond-studded designer bikini made of gold cloth worth about Rs 15-Lakh and we plan to auction it at a fashion event in Dubai or Bombay in end-February this year. Given the tag that Yaana Gupta has given herself as the no-panty girl, we would like her to wear this particular outfit. In fact, our designer is such a great fan of Yana Gupta that he made the outfit exactly for her size. The fashion event which is part of ‘The Helping Hands Project’ to build shelters for slum and street kids all over India adopt them and provide the kids with an education and livelihood aims to raise about Rs 25-lakh in sales which will be used to fund the expenses of The Helping Hands Project. Yaana Gupta if she accepts the offer to don the diamond-encrusted gold bikini and strut her stuff down the ramp will get a percentage of the proceeds of the outfits she wears,” said the organisers.
The organisers are trying to contact Yana Gupta for her availability and inclination to do this event, but Yaana who is busy with her reality dance show hasn’t yet responded, we were told. Yaana girl go for it!
